Tweet of the Day: Just one of the many benefits of being trapped underground.
Also: Not having to hear Larry King say “Sepulveda is the name of a miner and the name of a street here in LA.”
[@alanhouser.]

this is actually funnier.

unemployment

for two years, i’ve been studying economics. one of the important macro variables that stuck into my head is unemployment. and right now, this concept is even heavier then me. fatter than me but with no value. as i see it, it’s like a 200 pounder ampaw on my shoulders.

last year, unemployment, as the government defines it and as i remember it right, it’s the part of the labor force who has not worked for the last week and is not looking for a job. this is the redefined version. around five years ago, unemployed persons are the ones who are looking for job and has not worked for the past week. in economics and in the ideal world, unemployment rate should be zero so that the nation reaches full equilibrium. blah blah blah…

also last year, this figure is just a part of my education that i need to understand in order to pass and get my diploma. but right now, i’m part of this figure contributing to a possible decline of our economy. worse, this rate also affects the way i see myself.

was i a bad student?

what makes me incompetent that until now, i still don’t have a job?

did i take the wrong course?

blah blah blah.

would i be stuck here in this unemployed world?

am i destined to be a financial burden to my family?

blah blah blah.

all i really want is a decent enjoyable job right now because as time passes by and i’m not still “offer sheet”-less, my ego, my precious ego, forever be hurt. haha how self-centered.

errrr…
